That's
bring an end to the proceedings. Join us for the next game. It's St
Kitts and Nevis Patriots locking horns against Jamaica Tallawahs.
Looking forward for your company. Untill then, it's a goodbye from us.
Cheers!
Amla:
"We were in a tough situation. Credit to the bowlers, they managed to
defend it. After losing the first game, we didnt play proper cricket. We
will get better as the tournament progresses. I do enjoy the freedom.
T20 cricket is a high risk game. Sometimes it pays off."
Amla is the Man of the Match
Bravo:
"I'm very happy. Good to get our first win. Credit to Hashim. He is a
great player and overall happy with the team effort. It gave me an
opportunity to play my natural game. Happy that we got points today.
Against the Zouks the conditions and the wicket were a lot different. At
20/4 we never expected to reach 170. It's going to be challenging to
play back to back game. Good thing is, it starts at 9 tomorrow."
Pollard:
"The experience of Bravo and Amla showed as they weatherd the storm. We
would've taken 150. After 10 overs we were still in the game. Having
said that there are lot of postives to take from this game. This is the
first game, we have to see what's the best combination. Long way to go
in this tournament."
An
emphatic performace by Trinidad. They are off and running now. Chasing
171 was always going to be an tough ask on this slow surface, the
openers gave a bright start. Taylor came out all guns blazing. After the
fall of Hope, Taylor and Malik steadied things for a while but the
run-rate kept climbing up. Barbados lost wickets at regular intervals.
Pooran struck a few lusty blows towards the end but it was too much to
do for him. For Trinidad, spinners bowled parsimoniously and Narine
picked up couple of wickets.
