It
was another entertaining day at the CPL. Poor Colin Munro. Gets a ton
and ends up on the losing side. The fun moves along to St Kitts tomorrow
where the hosts feature against Zouks. Well, that is it from us then.
Do join us for all the action. For now, cheers and goodbye.
Munro:
"Disappointed to be on the losing side. Lynn played an exceptional
innings. At half-way mark, I told Jack(kallis) we were 15-20 runs short.
Trinidad bowlers mixed the pace well and we found it difficult to score
runs towards the end."
Munro is the Man of the Match
Guptill:
"It's always nice to have a great start. Good to have 2 wins under the
belt. We have got momentum and look to carry on with it. Extremely happy
with our bowlers as they pulled back things towards the end."
Bravo:
"I think 160 is a good total. We were 15-20 runs short. Credit to
Guyana bowlers as they bowled well towards the end. Lynn played really
well and took the game away from us. Congrats to Munro. He played with
freedom. We just have to regroup. Good to see overseas players perform."
A
clinical victory for Guyana. Two wins in two matches and they are now
on top of the table. Chasing 166, Smith came out firing all cylinders.
Although he perished after a brief cameo, Guptill and Lynn kept the
scorecard ticking and never allowed the run-rate to dip at any stage.
After the fall of Guptill's wicket, Lynn took upon the mantle and
checked a few shots. He struck a breezy innings but fell on the doorstep
to victory. Howoever, Mohammed ensured that he stayed till the end and
applied the final flourish to help Guyana cross the finishing line. A
disappointing performance from Trinidad.
